Eula Mae Butler Sherman

It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of, Mrs. Eula Mae Butler Sherman, who passed on Monday, November 25, 2019.  

Mrs. Sherman was born on March 30, 1929 in Whigham, GA, to the late Wiley and Henrietta Butler.  On March 20, 1950 she married Willie Luther Sherman. To this union three children were born, one preceded her in death. Eula Mae spent many years working at Whigham Nursing Home and Ithaca Industries, Inc.  She was a devout Christian who was a member of St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church, Whigham, GA until her health failed.

She leaves cherished memories behind to a son Earl Bernard Sherman of New York, NY; devoted daughter Langa Hammonds and son-in-law Michael Hammonds of Whigham, GA; step-son Alvin Sherman of Whigham, GA and step-daughter Junie Lutherine Sherman Gibson of Miami, FL;  and grandchildren Gail Sherman, Juna Gibson, Vernon Gibson, Darrin Sherman, Brandie Sherman, Lanesha Hammonds-Tyler, Valencia Sherman-Greenup, Michael Hammonds Jr., Micalvin Hammonds, Clifford Hammonds (Lakendra) and Caneka Hammonds; and a host of beloved great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.           

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands,  her seven siblings and two stepchildren.
