It is with a sorrowful heart that we announce the passing of; Mr. Joseph W. Adams of Whigham, Georgia. Mr. Adams passed on Monday, April 2, 2018 at his residence.

Earthly life for Joseph “Spur” William Fain Adams began on June 10, 1948. “Spu“ as he was affectionately called was the son of the now-late Joe Adams and Alma Clemmons Adams.
Joseph confessed Christ as his Savior many years ago. He received his education in the public schools of Whigham, Georgia. Joseph was a man of many talents and wore numerous hats throughout his life. In 1990, he founded Adam and Sons Savage, LLC. He also had a special love for animals. One of Joseph’s cherished past times was to bar-b-q and fry fish. He had a special love for people, especially his family, and never passed on the opportunity to minister to those he came in contact with. Joseph was a wonderful husband, dad, grandfather , brother and uncle. He loved his family, friends and will be greatly missed by many.
Joseph was united in holy matrimony to on October 25, 1985 Gloria J. Spivie. To this union three sons were born.
While at his home, on Monday, April 2, 2018, God Almighty summoned Brother Joseph “Spu” Adams, to his Heavenly Home. His love legacy will live forever in the hearts of all whom he knew, including his loving and devoted wife of 32 years Gloria J. Adams; sons: Bruce (Sandra) Gurley, Cedric Adams, Staff Sergeant Joseph Adms and Miford Adams; daughters: Ferlisha (Terrance Keaton) Harrell; grandchildren: Kiesha and Bonta Harrell, Deontae Harris, Joseph Jr., Trinity, and JaNiah Adams, Bruce Gurley Jr. and Whitney Miles; sister: Mary Sue Mullin; brothers-in-law: Avalie (Evelyn) Spivie, Dewayne and Terrell George, Jimmy (Clara), John (Linda), William (Bessie) and Danny Jackson sisters-in-law: Margie Maddox, Betty Jean Spivie, Christine Jackson, Annie Jackson; Bertha (Cecil) Williams, Annie Jones, Teresa (Jimmy) Fortner, Bridgett George, Mary Mott, and Annie (Roosevelt) Roderick great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lovingfriends.
He was recently proceeded in death by his brother Milford Adams (2016) and many other relative and loved ones.
