It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of, Mother Lois Bouie Johnson.  Mother Johnson passed on Sunday May 7,2017 at her residence.

Mother Lois Bouie Johnson

Mrs. Lois Bouie Johnson, daughter of the late Leroy Bouie and Zudie Smith Bouie, was born on November 11, 1924 in Reno, Georgia.   She was one of three siblings who enjoyed growing up together in a happy household with very little but with lots of love from their parents and each other.  The love of the Lord was placed in Lois very early.

Site professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined the St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church where she remained a dedicated member and active participant on the Mother’s Board for many years until her health began to decline.

Lois attended the public schools of Grady County Georgia and thereafter was employed at the ITT Wire Factory of Cairo, Georgia for many  years until her retirement

in 1993.  She enjoyed her work and established many lasting friendships with her coworkers.  Lois was known as a fun person who enjoyed  and having a good laugh

with others. She would later meet the love of her life, Mr. Hollis Johnson Sr., and be united in holy matrimony on January 27, 1951. Their union was blessed with nine children.  Lois’ love preceded her in death in 1979.

Lois had a generous spirit arid vibrant personality. She was loved by her family, friends, and most others who had the pleasure of crossing her path. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved nurturing. Lois influence will forever remain in the  lives  of  those  she touched.  Lois peacefully transitioned from this life to be with the Lord on May 7, 2017. She was preceded in death by two of her children, Hollis Johnson, Jr. and Lloyd Johnson; her grandson, Charles Johnson Jr., and her three siblings, Grace Copeland, Leroy Bouie and Fred Bouie.
