Mr. Marlon Copeland transitioned from this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019.
Marlon R. Copeland, affectionately known as “Crip” was born on April 17, 1964 in Cairo, Georgia and was a 1982 graduate of Cairo High School. Marlon lived his life to the fullest until his peaceful transition to eternal rest on July 27, 2019.
At an early age, Marlon joined Bethlehem AME Church in Cairo, Georgia. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Marlon loved his music and dogs.
Marlon was preceded in death by his father, William “Billy” Robinson, paternal grandmother, Mrs. Susie Simms-Wilkes; maternal grandparents, Mr. Wesley and Mrs. Annie Lou Copeland and uncle, Mr. Robert Copeland, Sr.
Marlon is survived by his devoted mother, Vivian C. Hill; devoted sisters, La’Faye Copeland-Miles (Earnest), Ann Copeland and Aretha Hill; loving brothers, Ronald Copeland and Keith Copeland. In addition to his mother and siblings, Marlon leaves to cherish his great memories, an uncle, Claxton Copeland, Sr. (Brenda); aunts, Virginia Hammonds, Veronica Washington (Booker), Velma Copeland and Agnes Copeland. Marlon will be missed by his adoring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who enjoyed his humor and fun-loving spirit.
