The arms of our Lord now surround this loving Glenn Family as they say a loving farewell to their beloved: Deacon Ocine Glenn. Deacon Glenn passed on Sunday , September 15, 2019.
Ocine Glenn, Sr. was born in Grady county on October 10, 1941 to the late Mitchell Glenn, Sr. and the late Ollie M. Anderson Glenn. His life down here was done on Sunday September 15, 2019. He confessed Christ and joined white springs under the leadership of Rev W.L. Perry. Later years he served under the leadership of Elder R. Baker who ordained him as Deacon. He moved his membership to Solid Rock still under the leadership of Pastor Baker. Later years Rev. Cornell Henry became pastor. He served faithful until he could no longer attend church. He attended Grady County School. He was employed by W.B. Roddenberry a few years later he would find work at Costal Lumber Company.
He would later start working as a construction worker. Boot as he was called by many was a loving person. He loved his family very much. He loved fishing so much that he would share his catch of the day with family and friends. In 1967 he was married to Audrey M. Saltty. To this union six children was born. One preceded him in death. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 51 years Audrey M. Glenn. Three daughters Theresa M. (Willlie) Cairo, Cassandra D. Glenn and Sheneke Glenn both of Havana, Fla. Sons Ocine Glenn, Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., Antonio Glenn of Attapulgus, Ga., and a son Malcolm Glenn of Tallahassee, Fla. Eighteen grandchildren, six great grands. Three brothers Mitchell, Amos, and Willie Glenn all of Cairo, Ga. Three Sisters Mary, emma, and Barbara all of Cairo, Ga. Five Sister in Laws, Sadie Glenn, Mercedes Glenn, Phyllis Glenn all of Cairo, Ga., Glenda McBride, and Linda Blackmon of Miami, Fl. Two brother-in-laws Author Mcbride and James Blacmon both of Miami, Fl. A host of nieces and nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. Ocine was preceeded in death by his parents Mitchell and Ollie Glenn. Two brothers Clinton and Ambers Glenn sr. One daughter Felicia Glenn and Grandson Elijah Glenn.
