Mother Sadie L. Crump (95) passed from this walk of life into life everlasting on Tuesday, December 18, 2018.
Sadie Lee Crump was born May 24, 1923 in Amsterdam, Georgia to Lee McPherson and Ella Thomas. She confessed Christ at an early age and became a baptized believer. For many years, she served in multiple capacities at St. Calvary Baptist Church; such as Sunday School Teacher, Matron over Youth Department, Missionary, Choir, and Mother of the Church. Sadie departed this life December 18, 2018 at Archbold Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
She married L.B. Crump with whom she remained married to until his death in 1999. To this union, six beautiful children were born: Willie B. (Martha) Crump, Elsie (Albert) Ball, Mary Louise Jackson, Sarah Frances Taylor, Audrey Crump and Winston (Valeria) Crump. She was preceded in death by her late husband, L.B. Crump and three of her children: Willie B. (Martha) Crump, Sarah Frances (Eddie) Taylor and Audrey Crump and four siblings: Louise (Wallace) Albright, Clinton (Bettye) McPherson, Madie (Leroy) Barber, and Smitha Hutchinson.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Elsie (Albert) Ball, Mary Louise Jackson, and Winston (Valeria) Crump of Cairo, Georgia. Seventeen grandchildren: Terence Crump Houston of Fort Lauderdale, FL., Corey Crump and Eric Crump of Savannah GA., Ephron (Katrene) Crump of Brunswick, GA., Kenneth J. Ball, Albert (Michelle) Ball II, Eddie Lee (Lillie) Jackson, Jr., Mahazel (Robert) Richardson, Timothy (Linda) Jackson, and Janet Jackson of Cairo, GA., Althea Jackson of Werner Robbins, GA., Latonia Smith of Cairo, GA., Tyrone(Charise) Taylor of Jonesboro, GA., Karinda Taylor of Hartford, CT., Janee Crump and Winston Crump Jr. of California and Torell Crump of Hartford, CT. Sixty-one great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
