Mr. Alonzo Cooper of Cairo 77, transitioned on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Grady General Hospital Cairo, Ga.

Alonzo Cooper was born December 16th, 1938 in Grady County to the late Tom and Lela Cooper. Later in life, Mr. Cooper joined New Freedom Christian Ministry, Bainbridge, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Lester Hayes. Survivors include his wife, Lillie Cooper of Whigham; stepson, Tony (Mahalia) Herring of Havana, Florida; daughter, Linda (George) McFadden of Cairo, Georgia; son, Alonzo Cooper Jr. of Cairo, Georgia; sisters, Lucille C. Riley of Whigham, Georgia, Maria Water of Whigham, Georgia, Catherine Cooper of Whigham, Georgia; sister-in-law, Annie Brown of Climax, Georgia; caregiver, Mildred King Cairo, Georgia; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
