Amilyah Marshall was affectionately called Big Ma by those that loved her. Amilyah was born in Albany, Ga. on October 8, 2003 Amilyah was a very loving child and will be missed by everyone she came into contact with. She was summoned home on Saturday, January 25, 2014 by God's angels. She was showered with everlasting love by her adoptive mother, Mrs. Flossie Marshall the angel God chose to raise her and her community.

Those left to cherish her memories are: her loving and caring mother, Mrs. Flossie Marshall. She was preceded in death by her father Joseph Marshall. Her biological parents were Kavena & Curtis McGriff of Cairo, Georgia. Her sisters are Sara (Odell) James & Lorraine Marshall both of Valdosta, Ga; Josephine (Minister Vincent) Cooper of Homerville, Ga., Felicia Marshall of Palatka, Fl., Chassitie, Jenieva, ZyKayla Marshall and Danashya Sanders of Cairo, Ga. Her brothers are Keith Marshall of Palatka, Fl., Brandon and Jamie Marshall and Curtis McGriff of Cairo, Ga. Her grandma is Shirley Sanders of Cairo, Ga., aunts and uncles are Georgia Simmons of Savannah, Ga., Deacon Herman Lee and Joyce Garland, Katrina Davis, Karen Sanders and Anthony Davis and a host of loving relatives.

Home-going Celebration

The Celebration of Life service for Sister Amilyah Nicole (Big Ma) Marshall will be conducted Sunday, February 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church in Reno, Ga. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery Cairo.
