Services for Arlie R. Scott of St. Petersburg, Fla. and formerly of Whigham, are at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Christ Gospel Church, 1211 N. Broad St., Cairo. The Rev. Steven and Deborah Serfoss, pastors and the Rev. Robert L. Jones will officiate and interment is in Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Cairo. Mrs. Scott died Feb. 21 at Bayfront Hospital in St. Petersburg. Born June 14, 1954, in Whigham, she was the daughter of Robert and Rosa Scott. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church in Pinellas Park, Fla., a 1973 graduate of Whigham High School in Whigham and graduate of Oskaloosa Tech nursing program. Survivors include sisters, Shirley (R.J.) Price of Whigham, Lottie M. Scott of St. Petersburg, Earlene (Gregory) Gray of Warner Robins; brother, Robert F. Scott Jr. of Whigham; nieces, Brenda Hinson of Havana, Fla., Sharon Price, Tracy (Richard) Lockwood all of Quincy, Fla., Esther (Fred) Smith of Attapulgus, Rashida Scott of Albany, Katorah Gray of Americus, Leatha (Robert) Humphrey of Arlington; nephews, Richard Price of Pensacola, Fla., John (Trenise) Price of Whigham, Samuel (Sliva) Price of Quincy, Alex Price of Cairo; goddaughter, Lisa Martin of St. Petersburg.
