Bernice Green

With most sincere sympathy, we formally announce the passing of Ms. Bernice Green, who transitioned from this life on Thursday, February 29, 2024. 

Bernice Green was born May 24, 1934, in Cairo, Georgia, to the late Ralph Neal and Ossie Green. To this union, she was the last of the nine siblings to depart from this earthly home on February 29, 2024. She attended Grady County Schools. She joined Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She did domestic service until her health failed. She never had children of her own but raised a host of nieces and nephews as her own.

She leaves to cherish one sister-in-law, Sharon Green, and one brother-in-law, Leonard Davis, both of Cairo, Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters, Ada Mae Goar, Louise Willis, Bobby Ruth Evans, Maebell Poole, Mary Swain, Betty Green, Martha Davis, and one brother, Ralph Green. She is also survived by a host of cousins and friends.
