Mr. C.W. Sims passed away Friday, February 14,2014 at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, Georgia.

C.W. Sims, son of the late, Mr. Andrew Harris Sr., and the late Mrs. Charlie Mae Sims was born on April 25, 1925 in Whigham, Georgia.

He married the late Mrs. Carrie Sims. Later in life he met the late Mrs. Mary Lee Perkins Smith. He attended Grady County School Systems.

He departed this life on February 14, 2014. He was a diligent and hardworking truck driver mostly all his life for Joe McNair Trucking Company in Calvary, Ga., Roddenberry Pickle Plant, in Cairo, Ga., until his health started failing. He joined St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member, until his health started failing.

He was a loving and devoted father with a "heart full of gold". He was preceded in death by one daughter Evelyn Cosby aka "Pumpkin", 4 sisters, 3 brother, 2 grandchildren, a lot of loved ones who have gone before him including uncles and aunts.

He leaves to cherish a lot of memories, daughters, Ammorette (Henry) Brown of Jacksonville, Fla., Betty (Ricky) Dukes of Sanford, Fla., Deloris (Michael) Anderson of Warren, Ohio, Evelyn and Doris Perkins of Bainbridge, Ga., Sandra (George) Toomes of Tallahassee, Fla., Hurk (Charles) Johnson of Attapulgus, Ga.; Sons, Jim (Jessica) Perkins, Gary (Dorothy) Perkins both of Bainbridge, Ga., Elroy (Evelyn) Perkins of Havana, Fla., Leroy (Elaine) Perkins) of Dothan, Alabama; Sisters, Jacqueline (Robert) Hill of Cairo, Ga., Zena Hardwick, and Willa Mae Dillard Albany Ga., Aubrey Shannon of Miami Fla. Brothers, Albert (Mary Lee) of Fort Pierce Fla. Andrew (Christine) Harris of Albany, Ga. Benjamin (Barbara) Harris of Warner Robbins Ga. One Uncle Manor Sims of Detroit Michigan. One Aunt Eva Thomas of Newark New Jersey. 22 grandchildren and 42 great grand children. A special friend Annie Pearl Jones of Bainbridge, Ga.

CELEBRATION SERVICE

The funeral service for Mr. C.W. Sims will be conducted Saturday February 22, 2014, at 1:00 pm, at St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 346 Higdon Road, Calvary Ga.
