It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of, Mrs. Carolyn Topsor Vicks, who transitioned from this life on Thursday, November 25, 2021.
Carolyn Topsor Vicks, (66) of East Point, Georgia passed from this walk of life into everlasting life on Thursday, November 25, 2021.
She was born in Cairo, Georgia June 20, 1955 to Dorothy Topsor (mother). Carolyn attended and graduated from Cairo High School in 1973. Caroline Vicks attended Albany State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Carolyn spent over 25 years as a restaurant manager at places such as Hardee's, Popeye’s, Yasin's Fish Supreme, Donatos Pizza, and KFC.
On December 18, 1974, Carolyn entered holy matrimony with Roger Vicks. Together they had three children; Roger Vicks Jr (deceased), Fabion Kentrell Vicks,and a baby girl, Telicia LaShonda Vicks-Smith. Carolyn and Roger Vicks were happily married for 44 years before the untimely passing of Roger Vicks.
Carolyn gave her life to Christ when she was just a little girl. She was a member of Universal Light Christian Center of Macon, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Gail Smith. Carolyn enjoyed cooking, planting and tending to her gardens, watching western movies, making people their favorite cookies and desserts, writing poetry, and her latest hobby was designing bookmarks with jewelry. Caroline was most famous for her cooking, but especially her cakes, people from all over would request one of her “Buttery Sweets”, and what an apropos name for her desserts.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her son, Fabion Vicks & his wife, Yolande Gibson-Vicks of Macon, Ga (Grandchildren -Yasmine Gibson, Alicia Gibson-Cosby, Chloë Vicks, Laila Vicks); her daughter, Telicia Vicks-Smith & her husband, Willie Smith of East Point, Ga (Granddaughter-Charli Vicks); her treasured Mother Dorthy Topsor of Cairo, Ga ,Her beloved sisters, Barbara Topsor-Green (Emmett Green), and Felicia Peterson (Eugene Peterson, deceased), her cherished only brother Bruce Topsor; Her favorite aunt, Virginia Lowe, also of Cairo, Ga. Brother in law Ernest W. Cloud, Jr. of Cairo, Ga., Her cherished nephew and niece, Eugene Peterson Jr., affectionately called EJ, and little Miss Kannon Peterson; as well as a host of family and friends.
The Family is requesting for everyone to wear masks at the graveside service.
