It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of, Mr. Charlie Garland.  Mr. Garland was gifted back to the Lord on Monday, December 26th, 2016 in Cairo, Georgia. 

Brother Charlie Garland, the son of the late James and Ola Garland, was born September 13, 1926 in Grady County, Georgia.

He was married to the late Pearlie Garland who preceded him in death on May 6, 2006. He worked at Roddenberry for many years. He joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and served faithfully on the trustee board. Brother Charlie Garland was a loving father. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. He answered heaven’s call on December 26, 2016.

          He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Tanya (Cody) Williams of Cairo, GA., Brenda White of Atlanta, GA., Cheryl Lockman of Atlanta, GA.; son, Purman Lockman of Atlanta, GA.; 4 grandchildren, Frenchelle Williams, Brandi Perry, Tracie Lockman and Stephen Williams, and 2 great- grand children, Ryan Thompson and Brenysia Perry. A very devoted nephew & niece Larry and Mary Garland, and a host of other nieces and nephews.
