Mrs. Christine (Gladys) Calloway Gordon was born December 2, 1933 to the late Issac and Dessie Ellis Scurry, Sr. in Camilla, Georgia.

She was educated in the Mitchell County School system. She was a devoted wife to Arthur Gordon. She was a faithful member of Gordon Temple Church of God in Unity.

She departed this life on Tuesday October 2, 2013 at Archbold Medical Center, Thomasville, Ga.

She leaves to mourn a devoted husband Arthur Gordon of Cairo, Georgia; sons Willie (Kim) Thomas; Larry Calloway; Terry Calloway all of Austin, Texas; Leon (Merlene) Calloway of St. Augustine, Fl; and Kirk (Tracey) Calloway of Newport, Virginia; Daughters, Elaine Cole; Ernestine Butler both of Whigham, Georgia; Deborah (Perry) Harper of Thomasville, Georgia; Two sisters Mary (Willie James) Hunter of Whigham, Georgia, and Minnie Davis of St. Augustine, Fl; one brother, Issac (Ann) Scurry Jr. Step sons Ronnie (Cynthia) Gordon, Bud Gordon, Billy Gordon and Willie Gordon all of Cairo, Georgia; Step daughters Shirley Stewart and Retha (Charles) Mitchell of Cairo, Georgia, Mary (Junior) Siler of Bainbridge, GA. Two special daughter in laws Mar Shavers of Tallahassee, Fl and Elaine Calloway of St. Augustine, Fl. A host of grands, great grands, a host of nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

CELEBRATION SERVICE

The funeral service of Christine Gladys Calloway Gordon will be conducted Saturday, October 5, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem AME Church,412 2nd St SW, Cairo.
