Mr. Clifford Antwion Balom was born on March 25, 1977, in Mitchell County, Camilla, Georgia to the late Marry Clifford Balom and Mattie Pearl Balom-Patten. He was the youngest of five children: Michael, Farentino, Berlinda, and Felisha.
He received his education in the Pelham City School System, where he attended Pelham Elementary, Pelham Middle, and Pelham High School.
Clifford was joined in holy matrimony to Tongelita Williams in 2005. Although no children were born from this union, he gained two stepdaughters, Shaiquan and Derrece and raised two grandchildren, Jeremiah and Antavius as his own sons. More recently, he welcomed the newest addition to the family, Elijah Wilson and was looking forward to the upcoming birth of his 1st granddaughter. He exhibited an extraordinary amount of love for his wife, mother, stepdaughters, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews.
After a long battle with various health issues, during the morning hour of Wednesday, May 20, 2015, while at Emory Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, God called Clifford to his eternal rest.
To cherish his legacy, Clifford leaves his devoted wife Tongelita, two stepdaughters, Shaiquan Williams and Derrece Masten, three grandchildren, Jeremiah "Bubba" Hardy, Antavius "Peanut" Williams, and Elijah "GBaby" Wilson all from Fairburn, GA.; his loving mother, Mattie Pearl Balom Patten(JR) of Cairo, GA; three brothers, Michael Johns (Keerston), of Thomasville, GA, Joe Jackson (Linda), of Pelham, GA. and Timothy Boles of Cairo, GA.; one sister, Felisha Balom-Draggs (Larry) of Pelham, GA; his mother-in-law, Gwendolyn Hargrove, two sisters-in-law, Nataschalita Gee (Michael), and Charlita Hargrove (Tim) both from Cairo, GA; five nephews, Cameron Hargrove of Cairo GA., Clifford Stewart and Farentino Brown both from Pelham, GA, Randavius Balom of Fairburn, GA, and Brandon Jackson of Miami, FL; eight nieces, Tasheya Williams of Cairo, GA., Shanequa Washington of Nashville, GA., Miracle Johns of Thomasville, GA., Felidrianna Stewart, Jayleen Stewart, Breauna Brown, and Tiona Jackson all from Pelham, GA. and Jonesia Jackson of Goldsboro, NC.; three great nieces, Riley Reese, Tysheia Pollard, Cherish Bryant all from Pelham, GA., and a host of other relatives and friends.
Clifford was preceded in death by his father, his brother, Farentino Washington and his sister, Berlinda Balom-Brown.
