Dionne Shanti Hill

It is with heavy hearts that we request prayers for the family of beloved Dionne Shanti Hill as they bid farewell.  Ms. Hill transitioned from this life on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in Valdosta Ga.

Dionne Shanti Hill was born on February 3, 1988 to Yvonne Washington; Dionne was later adopted and raised by Colossus and Jeanette Hill. Dionne, a lover of reading, her nails, and butterflies was known for being caring, loving, witty, and had so many great qualities that will truly be missed. She graduated in 2006 from Dougherty Comprehensive High School and was employed by Metro By T-Mobile. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, two beautiful children; her daughter Shantae Nicole Hill, and her son, Brandon Lamar Hill. Her sisters; JoAnne Amelia Washington (Dominique Johnson), Mercedeas Lee James-Simmons (Tedarrean Simmons), Ermina Hill, La’Shonta Weston, and Sharon Edwards. Her brothers; Benjamin Edwards, Dr. Donnie Lamar Olajuwon, Brandon Tyson, and Demetrius Hill. Dionne also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Dionne is preceded in death by her adoptive parents Colossus and Jeanette Hill, her sister Adia Washington and her brother Thomas Joseph Washington. 

The family would also like to recognize Dionne’s motherlike figure, Mrs. Betty Huckaby and family.
