Funeral Service for Flozie Richardson:

Flozie Mae "Ms. Boot" Richardson was born in Brooks County on November 12, 1921 to the late Charlie Phillips and Pearl Nix and was raised by the late Clarence and Carrie Vicks with a very special Stepfather Burton Wilson (deceased) whom she referred to as "Daddy Burton". As a young girl Flozie attended Shiver and the Grady County Schools.

Being a resident of Cairo, Georgia for over 70 years Flozie had the opportunity to live in St. Petersburg, Florida and California.

She was married to the late Andrew Richardson in which they shared five beautiful children together from previous marriages, 3 daughters Floreatha Bradshaw Williams (deceased) Mamie Robbins, Inez Sherman, and 2 sons Ronnie Johnson and Kenneth Owens Sr. (deceased).

Having received Christ early in life Flozie was a faithful member of St. Thomas P.B. Church of Cairo, Ga. for over 30 years serving as a Mother of the church and on the Mother's Prayer Board under the leadership of the late Rev. S. Simmons until early 2000 when she moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and became a member of Bible Truth Deliverance Church under the leadership of Pastor Jesse B. Garrett Sr. and Prophetess Cheryl Garrett.

Within in her life Flozie was employed at Wight Nurseries and W.B. Roddenberry in which she retired.

Flozie leaves to cherish her memories one son Ronnie Johnson - Naples, Fl. (Claretha); 2 sisters Levarnia Banks and Louretha Wilson of Pelham, Ga.; one brother Oneal Vicks; 3 Granddaughters Denise Williams - St. Petersburg, Fl., Latashau Lovejoy ( Al) and Adreian Augusta ( Peter) - Cairo, Ga.; 1 Grandson Kenneth Owens Jr. - St. Petersburg, Fl.; 6 Great-Granddaughters Kizzie Williams, Tuesday Williams, Asia Thompson - St. Petersburg Fl.; Te'Airra Mannings, Kei'Arion Simpson, and Sanaa Augusta - Cairo, Ga.; 2 Great Grandsons Chris Kelley Jr. (Shanice)- Cairo, Ga. and Jacob Thompson - St. Petersburg, Fl. 1 Great-Great Grand daughter Kylee Kelley, 2 God daughters Yvonne Stewart and Latasha Willis - Cairo, Ga. And a very special friend/daughter Carolyn Addison Butts - Tampa, Fl.. a host of nieces and nephews and cousins and friends. Also preceding her in death are 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Having spent the last 4 years of her life at Pinewood Nursing Home in Whigham, Georgia she became a grandmother to all those who loved and cared for her there and leaves to many to name to cherish her love and memories.

Flozie departed her earthly home on Monday, February 9, 2015 at Archbold Medical Center.
