It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of Mrs. Frankie Hudson. Mrs. Hudson transitioned from this life on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
Frankie Hudson was born Frankie Lee Andrews, on June 24th, 1942 in Cairo, Georgia to Georgie Lee and Frank Andrews Jr. Frankie was the eldest of eight children. She was raised in Cairo and educated in the Grady County School System until leaving for Miami in 1959. She would later receive her high school diploma in Miami.
Frankie would later meet and marry Clarence Hudson Sr. on January 10th, 1959. This union produced six children, Heather Williams of Miami, Fl, Alvin Hudson of Charlotte, NC, Georgia Hudson, Tallahassee, Fl, Kelvin Hudson (Alisha), Miami, Fl, Dedric Hudson, (Valerie) of Atlanta, and Clarence Jr, (Tamika) of Columbia SC.
Frankie was a proud grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She had a genuine love for cooking, sewing and arts and crafts. While she primarily was a housewife, she held positions with the Hialeah Housing Authority and Miami Dade County School Board as a paraprofessional.
Frankie loved learning and furthered her education in the medical field studying phlebotomy and hematology. She was extraordinarily strong in her faith and was a long and faithful servant of Jehovah’s Witnesses, having been baptized in 1971.
She leaves to mourn her husband of sixty-two years, Clarence Hudson, Sr. Her mother Georgie Lee Andrews of Miami, two sisters Johnnie Boykin, and Sandra Andrews both of Miami. Her six children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
