It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Helen Brown of Climax, Georgia.  Mrs.Brown was gifted back to the Lord on Saturday, January, 14 2017 in Brunswick, Georgia.

Mother Helen Brown, the daughter of the late Otis Douglas, Sr. and Zeudia B. Douglas, was born in Decatur County, Georgia on January 6, 1944. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a devoted mother of the church at Greater Mt. Calvary First Born Church, Climax, GA (Formerly Douglas Temple).

Helen received her education in the public school system and was a graduate of Hutto High School in Bainbridge, Georgia. She worked in the healthcare industry for over 26 years.

            On January 14, 2017, the soul of our beloved was called to her eternal home. She left to cherish her memories: a loving husband, Gohneil Brown, Sr. of Climax, GA.; only child, Gohneil (Ellen King) Brown, Jr. of St. Mary, GA; four grandchildren, Kenya Brown, Joshua Brown, Jonathan Brown, and Kerry Brown all of St. Mary, GA.; Three brothers, and two sisters, L.C. (Emma) Douglas, Sr. of Climax, GA., Otis Douglas, Jr. of Leesburg, FL., Bradley Douglas of Thomasville, GA., Joyce (Charles Sr. ) Wimberly of Hawkinsville, GA., Selessia (George) Berry of Columbus, GA. Two sister-in-laws and six brother-in-laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

            She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
