The curtains of life closed gently as Mr. Joenathan Willis, (80) departed from this earthly life on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Joenathan Willis was born August 11, 1939 in Cairo, Ga., to the late Geneva Bell Willis and Grady Willis Sr. He began his walk with Christ at a early age and attended Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church of Cairo, Ga.
On January 17, 1959 he was united in holy matrimony to Lillie Ruth Brown Willis. The Lord called him home on December 19, 2019. He will be dearly missed by his Family and friends.
Joe leaves to cherish his memories, wife Lillie Ruth Willis of Cairo, Ga. Two sons Tony (Daisy) Willis of Cairo, Ga. and Gary (Alice) Brown of Valrico, Fl. Two daughters Cynthia (Rev. Harry) Mitchell, Sr. of Bainbridge, Ga., and Angelia (Ronnie) Gurley, of Cairo, Ga. Three sisters Elizabeth Willis, Marilyn Thomas both of Cairo, Ga. and Carolyn Adams of Baltimore, Md. 15 grands and 32 great-grands and one great-great grand. and a host of family and friends. He was preceded by a daughter Janice Robinson, one sister Margaret Butler, Four Brothers, Curtis Willis, David Lee Willis, Waymon Willis, and Grady Willis Jr.
