Johnny Lee Smiley was born on October 19, 1917 to John Smiley and Mattie Smith. He was educated in the Grady County School System. He was employed as a farmer in the Grady County community for over 70 years. He was a devoted husband to Julia Smiley. Survivors include a loving, long time wife for nearly 75 years, Julia smiley, one daughter, Cynthia Manuel (James) of Miami, Fl, three sons, John A. Smiley (Odester), Ernest Smiley (Delons) of Attapulgus, Ga, Joseph E. Smiley (Jessie) of Tallahassee, Fl, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends.

Homegoing Celebration

The Homegoing Celebration of Johnny Lee Smiley will be be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Shelfner Cemetery Highway 12-A Havana, Florida.
