Bro. Johnny C. Thomas was born on August 17, 1927 to the late E.T. and Mammie Thomas. He attended Grady County Schools; he confessed Christ and joined the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

He later moved to Detroit, Michigan where he worshiped and sung with the Master's of Harmony, he was employed with General Motors where he retired and moved back to Cairo, Ga.

He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter Geraldine T. Harris of Cairo, Ga. Two Grandsons Shedrick Thomas of Atlanta, Ga., and Willie Harris (Qunda) of Jacksonville, Fla. Three Greatgrands Arianna, Tre'vez and Rylee. One brother Edward (Minnie) Thomas of Ft. Pierce, Fla. Four sisters Ruthie Mae Lester of Cairo, Ga. Mae Lizzie Burton, Lannie Harris, Ladale Wimbush all of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son Johnny C. Thomas Jr.; One grand-daughter Kristie Williams, one sister Amber L. Carter, Five brothers Hartford Thomas, Caresa Thomas, James Thomas, Kelly Harris and Levon Thomas.

Funeral Service

The funeral service of Johnny C. Thomas will be conducted Thursday, July 17,2014 at, 1:00 P.M. at Beulah Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Dr. Dellise Cox Pastor/Officiating service. Interment will follow in Crestview Cemetery.
