Brother Joseph "Pete" Corker Jr., the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Margaret Corker of Cairo, Georgia.
He attended school in Grady County, graduating with the Class of 1979. After high school, he attended Albany State University, where he played on the basketball team. Over the years, he worked for various companies as a laborer.
On Wednesday, December 13, 2022, he was unexpectedly called to rest.
He leaves three children; Maranda Brown-Holton (Victor) of Atlanta, Georgia, Keawana Crawford-Burkes (Jared) of Orlando, Florida, and Christopher Daniels of Tallahassee, Florida. Two sisters, Kathy C. Jones and Daffine McFadden of Cairo, Georgia. One brother-in-law, James Hobbs of Newark, New Jersey, and one aunt, Lillie Collins of Pelham, Georgia. He leaves behind five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Corker, Sr., mother Margaret Corker, sister Sarah Hobbs and brothers Timothy Corker and John Corker.
