Latasha Mitchell Obituary

A page turned, a chapter completed a battle fought, a victory won, a life’s book closed.

It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of, Mrs. Latasha Bogan Mitchell, who transitioned from this life on Sunday, April 12, 2020.

Latasha Bogan Mitchell was born January 31, 1975 in Thomasville, Ga. She was raised by her mother and stepfather Charles and Mary Riles, along with her father Curtis Bogan Sr., all of Cairo, Ga.  She attended Grady County Schools and graduated from Cairo High School with the class of 1994.  Latasha later continued her education in the medical field where she became a housing supervisor at multiple facilitates in the Thomasville area.  She was a faithful member of Disciples of Jesus Ministries until progression of her illness.  She loved working and spending time with her family especially her grand kids. 

Latasha departed her life on April 12, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  She leaves to cherish her memories her husband Rickey Mitchell of Meigs, GA.; children Quantarion (Adriane) George of Whigham, Ga., Essence and Elexia Adams of Cairo, GA. Grandchildren Quantarion George, Jr., Amari George, Marcus George, all of Cairo, GA.; Nathan and Ethan George of New Jersey.  Little Princess of them all Brooklyn George of Whigham, GA.  Sisters Stephanie Daniels, Michelle (Jonathan) Lacount, Kimberly Bogan all of Cairo, GA. and Laquanta Riles of Bainbridge, GA.  Brothers Keith Daniels, Calvin (Valene) Daniels, of Valdosta, GA., and Curtis Bogan, Jr. of Cairo, GA. Charles Riles Jr., of Bainbridge, GA. and, Tony Riles of Dubai United Arab Emirates.  Loved and devoted Aunts Laura (Donald) Bryant, Priscilla Myles, Johnnie “Mae” Bogan all of Cairo, GA.  She also leaves to cherish her memories her special friends Teresa Williams of Cairo, GA., Hope Mallard of Cairo, GA. and Samantha Smith of Tallahassee, FL.; as well as many loved ones and friends who will miss her dearly.  She is preceded in death by her sister Karen Bogan.
