A Life Well Lived

At a young age under the leadership of his Great Uncle, Elder T.L. Geter, he was taught the word of God at the St. Luke Primitive Baptist Church in Reno, GA. Leroy enjoyed bringing his mother to church on their pastoral Sundays.
A Time to Learn: He was a member of the Cairo High School, Class of 1976 and most of all, he was a running back for the Cairo High Syrupmakers. Leroy also learned to have a very special love for the Florida State Seminole football team and would enjoy fellowship with family members watching football games each year.
A Time for Fun: Leroy was a guy who enjoyed life to the fullest. He always had a joke to keep everyone in good spirits and laughing at family gatherings.
A Time for Servanthood: Leroy had a humble spirt and was helpful to those in need. He was a dedicated caregiver for his beloved mother, Lois, until her passing. Leroy continued to show his caring and loving spirit until his death for his oldest sister, Joanne Henderson, after she was seriously injured in a car accident in 2019.
A Time to Rest: On Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 12:00 noon, Leroy eloquently and peacefully passed away at Archbold Memorial Hospital with his siblings beside his bed.
