It is with a heavy and loving heart that the staff and management of Cloud Funeral Home announce the transition of:
Mrs. Lena Junious who transitioned from this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
Mrs. Lena Mae Kelley-Junious was born on March 19, 1936 in Cairo Georgia, to the late John Kelley and Mary Jackson Kelley. Lena was the eighth child in a family of ten children.
In her life’s journey, she attended schools in Grady County, Georgia; she worshipped at the Shiloh MB Church in her community. In late childhood, she left the Jackson-Kelley farm and moved to New York.
Coming of age, she married William Junious and to this union they welcomed their son Joseph (Joe) Kelley. Eventually, Lena parted ways with William, and later-on married Walter (Bill) Reed, the man she called the love of her life. Bill passed away in 1994.
Lena had a gift and love for gardening; year after year, she won top prizes for her work, and as always, she shared blessings of her harvest with friends and family. Lena will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She leaves to mourn a beloved sister Mattie Killings of Brooklyn New York, Grandsons: Tyrone Dixon and Shomari Kelly. Beloved goddaughter: Valerie Dossantos (David). Lena also leaves great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
