“God sees when all footsteps falter; when the path has grown too steep. Then He touches the weary eyelids and gives His daughter sleep, and so it was.”.
With most sincere sympathy, we formally announce the passing of Sister Lucille Riley, who transitioned from this life on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
The late Lucille Cooper Riley, known to many as “cile” was born in Whigham, Georgia to the late Tom and Lela Cooper.
Lucille was an active member of the Popular Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Whigham, Georgia, where she served faithfully until her health failed.
Lucille was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Rosco Riley. They had one son, Sylvester Riley, who preceded her in health. Lucille is preceded in death by all her brothers and sisters.
Lucille leaves to cherish a special cousin, Karen (Michael) Cromartie, and her family, who took good care of her. A host of other special friends who help take care of her. A loving Nephew, Tom Cooper who would stop by and check on his aunt “Cile” often. A host of Nieces, Nephews, and other friends.
