Services for Mary Jackson Carlow of Miami, FL, formerly of Calvary will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Calvary. Rev. C. J. Henry will be officiating services with interment to follow at Crestview Cemetery in Cairo. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Daniels, Charles Carlow, Timothy Jackson, Robert Butler, Clifton Jackson, Jr. and March Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Daniels, Charlie Daniels, Ernest Gurley and Clinton Farlin. Mrs. Carlow was born on January 29, 1937 to the late Rudolph and Mae Lou Jackson. She was a member of Victory Fellowship Church of Miami and she attended Washington High School in Cairo and Albany State College in Albany. Ms. Jackson, as she was known before marriage, created a union with Mr. Horace Carlow in 1958 that would continue until the time of her passing. Mrs. Carlow departed this life on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Mt. Zion Hospital in Miami Beach, FL. Survivors to cherish her memory include her husband Horace Carlow of Miami, FL; step-son Napolean Carlow (Jewline) of Miami, FL; sister Mandy Higdon (Norman) of Whigham; sisters-in-law Pearl Butler of McCrayville; Mattie Daniels, Geneva Ratcliff and Mary Jackson all of Cairo; Emmaline Gurley of Calvary and Lola Jackson of Whigham; a special nephew Donald Shaw of Miami, FL; aunt Mildred Harrison of Cairo; two grandsons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
