Obituary

It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of Mrs. Mary L. Miller.  Mrs. Miller transitioned from this life on Sunday, January 24, 2021.

Mary Louise Miller was born June 25, 1930 in Grady County to the late Isaac and Leila Jones.  On January 24, 2021, she went home to be with the Lord.

Mary Miller attended Cedar Springs and Washington Consolidated Schools, both in Grady County.  She worked many years as a domestic Housekeeper and spoke favorable about her many employers over the years.  She would always say they treated her with respect, kindness and loved her as a family member.

Mary enjoyed many things; going to church, growing plants, flowers. Shopping, watching TV, going for rides, coloring in her adult coloring books and talking on her phone and lastly her love for her beloved pets she had over the years.

Mary Louise Miller was a “Woman of Faith”, she shared the Gospel with all she encountered.  She was a loving Mother to her six children and implemented a strong work ethic, love for the Lord and most of all; she wanted her family to “LOVE EACH OTHER”.  She often shared memories of growing up on the farm, the work she did and her long time Friendships.

Mary will be remembered as a wonderful Mother to her Family, neighborhood and church, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, Friend, hard worker and a nurturer.  She brought kindness, love, hope to all she encountered.

Mary was married to Darius Miller until February 14, 1991 when he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her only beloved brother, Nathaniel Jones of Panama City, FL.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories: Children, Patricia Nash-Borden (Josephus), Kenny Miller of Cairo, Georgia; Grady Nash Jr of Perry, FL; Dr. Chiquita Miller, Kansas City, Kansas. Grandchildren, Penny Joe Harris, Chadrick Nash, Sherlitra Nash, Felisia Thomas, Michael Huntley; (seven) Great grands, (six) Great great grand, Loving Uncle, Freddie Brown, Columbia, SC, Faithful Sis-n-law, Nonie Jones, Perry, FL; Three Loving Nieces, Marvelle Heyward (Clauda), Panama, City, FL, Rhonda Sue Adams (Wayne), Columbia, SC, Sandra McQueen, Pensacola, FL; Devoted Cousin, Thomas Glenn, Mary Hicks Holmes; and a host of Great Nieces and Nephews.
