Mary Ann Robinson

December 25, 1951 ~ September 16, 2016 (age 64) 64 Years Old


Mary Ann Robinson was born in Grady County Cairo, GA December 25, 1951, to her parents Roosevelt and Matlean (Wyche) Robinson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Lloyd Robinson, John Robinson, Roosevelt Robinson Jr. and Herbert Robinson, Ruby Odum and Matlean Davenport.

She attended Washington Consolidated High School, graduating there in 1969.  At an early age she confessed Christ and united with the Mt. Pisgah AME church at Leon County Florida.  She served faithfully.  She was married to Mr. William Wilkins Sr. from that union a son William Wilkins Jr. was born. She later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida and furthered her education in business while working at St. Mary’s Hospital. She met Dennis Massengill and a daughter Jennifer Massengil was born.

She later moved to San Francisco, CA. She united with Ridgeview United Methodist Church where she worked as Sunday school teacher and church Treasury. She worked for Bank of America.  Her job in Money Transfer and later in Trade Finance took her to Los Angeles, CA where she retired after more than 30 years. In Los Angles she united with St. Mark United

Methodist Church, then later Faith United Methodist Church; she taught Sunday school and was the church's representative at the Califorina-PacificUnited Methodist Annual Conference.

 Mary was a very outgoing and loving person who will be greatly missed. She leaves to mourn a son William (Trenise) Wilkins Jr. and a daughter Jennifer Massengil of Los Angeles, CA. and two grandchildren William Thomas and Arianna Wilkins.  Sisters Lillie (Earl) Baker of Vallejo, CA, Molsie Hampton of Philadelphia, PA and Sarah (Jim) Davenport of Cairo, GA.  A very close and loving friend Deacon Clarence Ligon of Los Angeles, CA. Three Sisters-in-law Annie Mae Robinson, Richmond, CA, Sandra Robinson Novata, CA. and Earnestine Robinson of Mississippi and a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
