Mary Alberta Youmas

February 7, 1936 ~ January 11, 2014 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Mary Alberta Youmas, affectionately known as "Muh" was born on February 7, 1936 in Calvary, Georgia to the late Willie and Mary Lee Harrison. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Winston Youmas. She was the oldest of five children. She was educated in the Grady County Public School System. For many years, she worked at ITT factory and later retired from Textron in Thomasville, Ga. Her life with the lord started at an early age when she accepted Christ as her savior and joined St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. She served faithfully as a devoted treasurer, secretary, and most important, as a servant of God until her health failed.

During her illness she was always surrounded by loving friends and family in the flesh and in the spirit. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her beloved children. She completed the circle of her earthly life on Saturday, January 11, 2014.

She leaves to cherish her memories: As a mother: Willie Youmas, Stanley Youmas, Loretta Williams, Debra Copeland, and Brenda Youmas, She also leaves to cherish her memory devoted son-in-law, Russel Williams. Her oldest daughter, Winnibeth Harris preceded her in death.

As a Grandmother: Stephanie Harris, Jeffrey D. Harris, Marshena Sigler, Eric Youmas, Jeffery G. Copeland,(Kimblee) Devin Copeland, Trenton Youmas, Jasmyn Williams, Nicholas Cade,(Diana), Deshon Harrell.

As a Great Grandmother: Diaz Sigler, Ajhanae' Sigler, Shaniya Youmas, Rashad Copeland, Nicholas Powell, Asha Harris, Zaniyah Sigler, Trevon Youmas, Tavon Youmas, Malaya Harrison, and Nyla Copeland.

As a sister; Willie Mae Smith, Dorothy Knight, Virginia Harrison, and Lodia Ford.

As a Sister-in-law; she leaves one brother-in-law, Donte Ford

As a Aunt, she leaves 9 nieces and nephews: Mary Collins (John), Craig Smith, Alfred Smith, Dorthenia Smart(Cleveland), Tracy Coleman, Maurice Harrison, Mario Harrison, Gregory LaMoute and Sherri Lamoute. Her beloved nephew Brian Lamoute preceded her in death.

She also leaves a host of loving cousins, friends, and acquaintances.

CELEBRATION SERVICE

The funeral service for Mary Alberta Youmas will be conducted Saturday January 18, 2014, at 11:00 am, at St. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church 346 Higdon Road Calvary.
