It is with most sincere sympathy that we formally announce the passing of, Mr. Melvin Johnson, Sr. who transitioned from this life on Saturday, July 11, 2020.
Deacon Melvin Johnson, Sr.
My earthly journey is now complete, filled with memories, laughter, joy; present and past. Pain lined life’s street and here I am at home at last. Shed no lingering tears over me, I am in pain no more, my soul has been set free. Never have I known joy like this before. It’s traditional to say I am late, that can be misleading, I arrived on time at Heaven’s gate, where I was met by my wife “Christine”, my mom and dad, my grandmother Cora, my sister Beulah, my brothers (WC, Willis, and Nathaniel) and my mother-in- law J Ruth so please don’t prolong the grieving. Reunited with loved ones that went before me. My earthly journey is now complete. Completed when I took my final earthly sleep. Now overjoyed with Heavenly glee.
A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one's birth.
