“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”- ISAIAH 40:31
With most sincere sympathy, we formally announce the passing of Mrs. Stefanie Bryant, who transitioned from this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
Mrs. Stefanie Dawn Davis Bryant was born on March 4, 1967, to the late Elder Mack C. Davis and her loving mother, Essie Bell Davis, in Coolidge, Ga. She received her education in Thomasville, Ga., obtaining her high school diploma from Thomas County Central High School, class of 1985. Stefanie was an athlete in high school, playing basketball, softball, tennis, and running track, showcasing her versatility and dedication from a young age.
As an adult, Stefanie dedicated her life to teaching and mentoring children. She taught in the Thomas County Central School system for 23 years as a Special Education Paraprofessional. In this role, she demonstrated an extraordinary ability to connect with children, particularly those who needed extra support. Her patience, kindness, and unwavering dedication made her a beloved
figure among students and colleagues alike. Stefanie’s passion for helping children extended beyond the classroom. She coached basketball, dance, track, cheer, softball, and soccer, pouring her
heart into each activity and ensuring every child felt included and valued. Her mentorship impacted hundreds of kids throughout Thomas and its surrounding counties, leaving a lasting legacy of
love and support.
Stefanie’s love for children was evident in every aspect of her life. She had a special gift for understanding and nurturing them, always willing to go the extra mile to make a difference in their
lives. Whether it was staying after school to help with homework, offering a listening ear, or providing encouragement during tough times, Stefanie’s commitment to children was unwavering. Her
home was always open to kids, and she treated each one as if they were her own, creating a safe and loving environment where they could thrive.
Stefanie was married to Tari Bryant for thirteen years and was a faithful member of St. Paul Temple Church of God in Christ in Coolidge, Ga. She was a follower of Christ and his teachings,
which guided her actions and interactions with everyone she met. Stefanie also loved fishing and spending quality time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
Her love for Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors was well-known, and she never missed a chance to cheer them on. Everyone who knew her knew that her favorite color was red, and her favorite song was “He Wants It All” by Forever Jones, which resonated deeply with her faith and life philosophy.
Her last words were, “She loves her family & I’m ready to go home.” These words encapsulate the love and peace she carried with her throughout her life, leaving a legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
