Services for William L. Peterson "Papa D" of Havana, Fl will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Havana. Pastor Julius R. Harris will officiate services with Minister Sydney Conyers Presiding. Interment will follow in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church cemetery in Havana.

William L. Peterson was born on January 3, 1951 in Gadsden County, to the late Mrs. Mary P. Rollins and the late Mr. Willie Peterson. William accepted Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was a loving and devoted brother, father and grandfather. He was a graduate of Havana Northside High School's "Class of 1970. He was once married to Linda Woodard and to this union two children were born. Shirley Johnson was a longtime friend and caregiver.

He leaves seven children to cherish his memory Marquis Rollins, Chrishawnda Rollins, Twanetta Rollins Deldrion Peterson (Chandrea), Avia Peterson, Ashley Peterson all of Tallahassee, FL and Latoya Peterson of Bainbridge, GA. Sisters and Brothers to cherish his memory; Lillie R. Bodison, Minnie Rollins and Oradell Rollins All of Havana, FL and Mary L. Peterson of Tampa, FL, Johnny Rollins (Mary) of Tampa, FL and John Peterson of Hartford, Connecticut. Twenty grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings Horace Rollins, Jr. and Georgia R. Washington.
